Burdekin Falls Dam: Independent Business Case Review

Burdekin Falls Dam, located 210 km southeast of Townsville, is a critical water infrastructure asset owned by Sunwater. While the dam is structurally sound, assessments identified the need for upgrades to meet modern engineering standards and ensure resilience against extreme weather. This project aligns with Queensland’s Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008, securing long-term water supply and safety compliance.
